The Waylume Journal

Community guidelines

This is a small, friendly place for people planning trips. A few rules keep it that way.

What belongs here

  • Real questions about destinations, timing, budgets and logistics.
  • Your own experience of a place — what worked, what didn't.
  • Disagreement, as long as it's aimed at the idea and not the person.

What gets removed

  • Spam, advertising, affiliate links and self-promotion.
  • Unsolicited links of any kind, including shortened URLs.
  • Harassment, slurs, or anything demeaning to a person or group.
  • Impersonating me, Waylume Travel, or another commenter.
  • Other people's private information — full names, addresses, itineraries, booking references.
  • Anything unlawful, or content that isn't suitable for a general audience.

How moderation works

I read every comment. Comments appear immediately, and I remove anything that breaks the rules above — usually without discussion, and I don't owe an explanation for obvious spam. Repeatedly breaking the rules gets you blocked.

You can comment as a guest with just a first name. That's deliberate: asking a question shouldn't require signing up. It also means I lean on these rules rather than on gatekeeping.

A word on advice

Anything here is general travel discussion, not a booking confirmation or a guarantee. Entry requirements, visas, prices and safety conditions change constantly — always confirm the specifics for your own trip before you commit money. For advice tailored to your travel, book a free call and we'll talk properly.

Something wrong?

If you see a comment that breaks these rules, or you want your own comment or email removed, write to advisor@waylumetravel.com and I'll deal with it.
